Built by a freelancer who just wanted to bill clients and get paid

Pronto Invoice is a phone-first invoicing app for tradespeople, freelancers, and small businesses. It started as a freelance software consultant's tool for billing clients. It's still built and run by one person, and that person reads your messages.

I'm Val. Before Pronto Invoice, I was a software consultant and freelancer. I needed a simple way to bill my clients and get paid.

Every invoicing app I tried was packed with features I didn't need: accounting modules, dashboards, settings menus, upsells. All I wanted was to send an invoice and get paid. And too many of them took a slice of every payment on top of the processor's fee.

So I built Pronto Invoice around three things: ease of use, simplicity, and letting the person who did the work keep more of what they earned. Open the app, make the invoice in under a minute, send it, and get back to work. On your phone, one-handed, even with no signal. Pronto never takes a cut of your payments.

I'm still building it solo and self-funded, now for tradespeople, freelancers, and small businesses who want the same thing I did.

Pronto is small on purpose. There's no investor pushing me to squeeze more out of you. If something breaks or doesn't make sense, write to me and I'll read it.

What you can count on

  • We never take a cut of your payments. Your clients pay through your own Stripe or PayPal account. You pay only your processor's normal rate.

  • The free plan is a plan, not a trial. No credit card to start.

  • Limits are published up front. Every plan's limits are on the pricing page before you sign up.

  • Built for your phone. Native iOS and Android apps, plus a web dashboard when you'd rather use a computer. Create invoices offline, and they sync when you're back online.

  • Your data is protected. Pronto runs on AWS with encryption in transit and at rest.

How Pronto works

Every invoice follows the same five steps: pick the client, pick the items, add payment info, check the document details, then review and send. Nothing to configure and no menus to learn.
